Thank you for coming alongside the village of men and women dedication to the support of your student by being another positive influence in your student’s life.

Here are some guidelines to consider as you reach out to your student today:

• It may be a couple months before your student receives his or her letter due to slow postal service. The same is applied for how long it takes for you to receive a letter from your student.
• We ask that you avoid any political, racial, religious, or financial conversations when communicating with your student.
• We ask that you avoid influencing your student’s life decisions. (i.e. – what school to choose or career path to take)
• Keep your student’s age and nationality in mind. It may be helpful to research holidays also celebrated in Kenya before speaking about them in your letter.
• All correspondence between you and your student will be reviewed by Maisha Project staff.
